HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --- Announced by the Gulf South Conference Tuesday morning, Mya Swinton is named Conference Player of the Week.
 
Swinton and the Argos gained two successful conference victories to improve to 5-0-1 on the season. UWF defeated Mississippi College 3-1 (Sept. 15) and followed with a 4-0 win over Delta State (Sept. 17).
 
Swinton tallied two goals and two assists for a total of six points over the weekend. She recorded a single game, season-high of five points against Delta State after a two-goal, one assist performance. All points came within the first 15 minutes of the match. 
 
The Florida native is fifth in the conference in goals (4) and assists (3) and tied for second in points (11).
 
The Argos continue their travels on the road as they head to Spring Hill on Friday, Sept. 22 at 3:00 for a conference matchup.
