Final Results
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –  The UWF Women's Cross Country Team had a successful showing on Friday morning, placing 15
th out of 35 teams at the FSU Cross Country Invitational at Apalachee Regional Park.

Lorena Rangel Batres of LSU took home individual medalist honors with a time of 17:13 in the 5K.  LSU also won the team title, with fellow Division I schools, Florida and FIU placing second and third.  UWF finished above regional opponents, Auburn Montgomery, Valdosta State and Barry.

Chloe Rook, the reigning Gulf South Conference Runner Of The Week, had the top time for the Argonauts as she finished 37
th overall, completing the meet in 18:36.4, which was the sixth fastest time among Division II competitors.

Julia Alvarez Drago and
Ava Baldauf finished back-to-back for the second straight meet, as the pair placed 95
th and 96
th overall, with times of 19:29.5 and 19:29.8.
Â
Fourth among UWF competitors was
Skylar Grant, who placed 147
th with a mark of 20:07.9 while freshmen,
Olivia Noack and
Ambrea Hobbs, both finished among the top-240 with times under 22 minutes.

Kristen Bouington,
Tatum Salter and
Avery Miller rounded out the group as they placed 253
rd, 263
rd and 269
th, overall.

West Florida will be back in action next Saturday, October 7
th, when they will compete in the UAH Chargers Invitational, hosted by Alabama Huntsville. Â The race will begin at 8:50 AM.
