PENSACOLA, Fla. - Jillian Thompson was named GSC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of November 4, the conference announced Tuesday. This marks Thompson's first career GSC Player of the Week award.

Jillian Thompson led West Florida's defensive efforts to secure shutouts against UAH and West Alabama. She registered the Argonaut's game-winning goal in a 1-0 win against UAH and helped West Florida go 2-0 and earn six points in GSC play in 180 minutes played.

The No. 1 seeded Argos will host the No. 8 seed in the GSC Tournament on Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
