COMPLETE ITA DII MEN'S TOP 25
 
PHOENIX, Ariz. - The UWF men's tennis team (11-0, 3-0 GSC) moved up a spot to the No. 1 spot in the national ITA DII rankings after earning four more wins, including two more ranked wins in the GSC-Lonestar Crossover Tournament, last week.
 
The Argos won their second road GSC win with a 4-0 sweep at Delta State before heading to Tyler, Texas, for the weekend. They defeated then-No. 16 UT Tyler 5-2, avenging their last regular-season loss of the 2024 season, No. 19 Midwestern State 6-1 and Cameron 7-0. 
 
Sebastian Sotelo won GSC Player of the Week for his performance, going 6-1 overall, 3-1 in singles and 3-0 with doubles partner Tomas Leston. Sotelo is one of four Argos who have placed in the latest National DII Singles Rankings at No. 35, also released today. Miguel Cabrera leads off the squad at No. 6, Sebastian Rondon is No. 16, Diego Duran is No. 29 and Alex Maulouet heads up the group at No. 67. In the National DII Doubles Rankings, Duran and Rondon lead the Argos at No. 4, while Sotelo and Leston come in at No. 19. 
 
The Argos travel to Valdosta, Ga., this weekend for a huge Friday matchup with the No. 2-ranked team in the conference and No. 6 team nationally in the Blazers of Valdosta State that could decide the GSC regular season title if not more, as it did last year. The next day, they take on South Region foe and No. 35 Lynn.
