ITA Division II Men's Tennis Rankings 3/18
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of West Florida men's tennis team was ranked the number one team in the country by the International Tennis Association for the week of March 18, 2026, the assocation announced on Wednesday. This marks the first time this season that the Argos hold the top spot.
UWF elevated one spot in the rankings after a 2-0 road weekend which saw the Argos defeat No. 11 Saint Leo 5-2, and No. 8 Florida Southern 4-3. The Argos now sit at 12-1 in 2026.
In addition to the team's rankings,
Diego Duran was ranked the No. 3 in singles. Duran fell on court two against Saint Leo in a narrowly contested, three-set match that saw numerous tiebreakers. Duran bounced back after the defeat to claim court two against Florida Southern. Followed closely behind Duran, the Argos' ace,
Sebastian Rondon, is ranked the No. 3 singles player in the nation for this week. Rondon picked up the win against Saint Leo on court one prior to falling in three sets on the top flight to Florida Southern.
Rafael Sabio and
Mateo Martinez landed on the rankings, landing at No. 57 and No. 66, respectively.
The Argos will return home this weekend, where they will play host to No. 23 Lee on Saturday. The match is set to begin at noon.
