2026 GSC Men's Tennis Yearly Awards
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The University of West Florida men's tennis team has been recognized for its exceptional performance during the 2026 season by the Gulf South Conference. The team has received multiple postseason honors, reflecting their dominance on the court and solidifying their position as the #1 team in the nation.
In total, six players from UWF were honored with All-GSC selections, showcasing the depth and talent present within the team.
Diego Duran was named the GSC Player of the Year and earned a spot on the All-GSC First Team. Duran's outstanding season included a 15-2 record on court two in singles and an impressive 18-2 on court one in doubles. He is currently ranked as the #3 singles player in the country.
Sebastian Rondon also received All-GSC First Team honors. Rondon excelled with a 19-2 record on court one in singles and an 18-2 record on court one in doubles. He holds the rank of the #2 singles player nationwide and, alongside Duran, forms the #1 doubles pair in the country.
Rafael Sabio was recognized on the All-GSC Second Team. Sabio's season highlights include a 13-6 record across courts three, four, and five in singles, as well as a 13-5 record on courts two and three in doubles. He is ranked #46 nationally in singles.
Mateo Martinez,
Vicente Couto, and
Goncalo Quintela were also named to the All-GSC Second Team. Martinez achieved a 10-2 singles record on courts two, three, and four, and a 3-2 record in doubles. Couto posted an 11-4 singles record on courts two through five and a 7-6 doubles record. Quintela finished with a 13-3 singles record on courts five and six, and a 12-6 record in doubles.

Derrick Racine rounded out the Argos' postseason awards by picking up his 15th GSC Coach of the Year award.
UWF will begin postseason play this weekend in the GSC Tournament in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. The 1-seed Argos open play against the 8-seed Montevallo Falcons. Live stats will be available on GoArgos.com.
