LAKELAND, Fla. — The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (NCBWA) has announced the South Region Player of the Week as
Tanner Taylor.
Taylor had a productive week at the plate as he hit .625 (10-for-16) with six RBI and four runs scored across a four-game slate. He also slugged .750 behind two doubles and posted a .647 on-base percentage. The senior had consecutive multi-hit games, highlighted by a 3-for-4 effort against Spring Hill which included four RBI and later a 3-for-5 performance with a double and an RBI at Mississippi College. Against MC, Taylor was a combined 7-for-12 (.583) at the dish with two RBI and four runs scored.
Taylor will move on to the NCBWA National Player of the Week ballot to be announced on Thursday, April 23.
