INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – No. 14 UWF Softball ranked third in the latest NCAA South Region ranking, placing just behind No. 2 AUM and No. 1 Saint Leo.
 
The top two teams in the South Region host the regional round of the NCAA postseason when the final rankings are revealed. The three conference champions of the South Region earn auto bids, with five at large spots. There will be one more ranking next Wednesday before conference championships conclude. 
 
The Argos are now 37-10 on the season and 22-8 in GSC play and will have more opportunities to jump up to a position to host with games against Montevallo and an opportunity in the GSC Championship. Other GSC teams in the rankings include No. 4 Montevallo, No. 5 West Alabama, No. 8 UAH, and No. 9 Mississippi College.
