No. 24 UWF volleyball earns at-large bid to NCAA DII South Regional

West Florida to make its 10th straight NCAA DII postseason appearance in 2015

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The No. 24-ranked University of West Florida volleyball team earned an at-large bid to the NCAA Division II South Regional after finishing No. 5 in the final NCAA DII South Region rankings, it was announced Monday night. The No. 5 seed West Florida (28-6, 19-1 GSC) will be making its 10th straight NCAA DII postseason appearance in 2015 and will face the No. 4 seed Saint Leo (20-10, 10-6 SSC) in the quarterfinals of the NCAA DII South Regional Quarterfinals on Thursday, December 3 at 5 p.m. ET

Palm Beach Atlantic will play host the regional tournament as the No. 1 seed after finishing the regular season with a 26-4 record as a provisional member of the Sunshine State Conference.
 
Tampa (26-5, 15-1 SSC) earns the No. 2 seed after earning the automatic bid from the Sunshine State Conference after finishing atop the conference standings in the regular season. Fellow SSC member Florida Southern (23-8, 9-7 SSC) will enter the regional as the No. 3 seed.
 
North Alabama (26-7, 17-3 GSC) earns the No. 6 seed and enters the tournament via an automatic bid after winning the Gulf South Conference Tournament Championship. Sunshine State Conference member Eckerd (17-13, 7-9 SSC) earns the final at-large big and enters the tournament as the No. 7 seed.
 
Kentucky State (25-12, 19-1 SIAC) earned the automatic bid from the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference after winning the conference tournament and will enter the tournament as the No. 8 seed.
