Moulton and Mire Earn AVCA Region Honors

AVCA All-Region Teams

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Junior setter Gabi Moulton and junior libero Maddie Mire have been named to the AVCA All-South Region First Team, the association announced on Wednesday.

There are 14 All-Region team members and six honorable mention selections for each of the eight Division II regions. Additionally, a Player of the Year, Freshman of the Year, and Coach of the Year were selected for each region. The 160 student-athletes who earned All-Region honors represent 85 different schools.

Moulton was the GSC Player of the Year for the second straight year, GSC Setter of the Year, and named to the All-GSC First Team, named the Most Outstanding Player in the GSC Tournament. She racked up 1,218 assists, surpassing 3,000 in her career, and helped lead the Argos to their 8th-straight GSC Championship victory. She continuously proved herself to be one of the most outstanding setters in college volleyball and looks to help continue the success throughout the remainder of the postseason.

Mire has been the defensive anchor for the West Florida back row this season, garnering GSC Libero of the Year honors on 609 digs and an astounding .933 reception percentage. She also led the Argonauts on the service line with 26 aces and secured a spot on the GSC All-Tournament Team.
