UWF Announces 2021 Baseball Schedule

Argonauts open season with clash vs. UWA on February 5th

PENSACOLA, Fla.- The University of West Florida baseball program's 2021 schedule features a 38-game regular season, with 36 games versus Gulf South Conference opponents, and 19 match-ups on the campus of UWF at Jim Spooner Field.

The Argos begin the season at home with a weekend match-up against West Alabama on February 5th and 6th.  The Friday night game will start at 5pm while the Saturday doubleheader will start at 1pm with both games of the doubleheader format being nine innings, unlike previous years.

UWF will be at home against Shorter the following weekend before hitting the road for the first time in 2021 for the first of two match-ups with Spring Hill on February 16th, before traveling to take on the 2019 GSC Champion, Delta State, on Feb. 19-20. The Argonauts will close the month with a road series at Alabama Huntsville, Feb. 26-27.
 
March opens with a weekend home match-up versus Mississippi College, Mar. 5-6 before the Argos welcome Spring Hill on March 9th at 5pm to complete the home and home.

Following the match-up with the Badgers, West Florida has two weekend road series with Auburn Montgomery, Mar. 12-13 and Valdosta State Mar. 26-27 with a quick home series against Christian Brothers, Mar. 20-21, sandwiched in between.
 
The month of April begins with a trip to Jackson, Tennessee to face Union on the 2nd and 3rd before the Argos return home to take on Montevallo on Apr. 9-10.  Following a week off, UWF goes to Carrollton for a weekend date with West Georgia on Apr. 23-24 and the Argos wrap the regular season with a home match-up versus Lee on Apr. 30-May 1st.

The GSC Tournament will take place May 7-May 11 in Oxford, Alabama where the Argonauts will look to make their 12th straight appearance in the tournament.
 
NCAA Tournament play opens with the South Regional on May 20-22, followed by the South Super Regional taking place the following weekend.  The season culminates with the Division II World Series on June 7-12 in Cary, North Carolina.
