PENSACOLA, Fla. – The University of West Florida Volleyball team and Head Coach
Melissa Wolter have once again laid the foundation for future success by bringing in four players to round out their 2021 class. All four players join UWF after having standout careers at each of their respective high schools and will add to the depth of young talent the Argonauts have on their roster.
These players include Madison Long, Macy Maxwell, Daphne Sadler, and Jenna Zydlo who will join spring enrollees
Britta Hibbs and
Alex Oliver in the fall to complete UWF's 2021 class.
"We are thrilled about the addition of Daphne, Jenna, Macy, and Madison", states Wolter. "These four bring great athleticism, versatility, and huge potential. They will complement and challenge our current players in a myriad of ways."
Madison Long: Long is a 6-foot Middle Blocker/Right Side Hitter from Ormond Beach, Florida. Here she attends Seabreeze High School where she competed in softball and basketball in addition to volleyball.
On the court, Long was an integral part of the Seabreeze High School Volleyball team and was a team captain for the Sandcrabs. Long was named team MVP in both her Junior and Senior seasons and was named Supercrab Athlete of the Quarter by her high school for her outstanding play.

Long also participated in numerous clubs including the National Honors Society, Best Buddies Club, and HOSA where she served as a senior member.
Long trained and played her club volleyball at the DME Sports Academy in Daytona Beach.
"Madison is another multi-faceted player," says Wolter. "She can play any front row position and has a crazy high ceiling. She's super light on her feet and has great hang time, which is rare. I think Madison chose the perfect program to highlight her skills and enhance her personal development."
Macy Maxwell: Maxwell is a 6-foot Outside Hitter/Right Side Hitter/Middle Hitter from Tallahassee, Florida. Here she attends Leon High School where she was a four-year varsity player for the very successful Leon program.

"I have watched Macy grow up in the game and continue to develop her skills to the next level" explains Wolter. "There's really nothing Macy can't do, and no position she can't play. She comes from a winning high school and club program and has winning in her veins. I'm excited to see exactly how far we can take her game."
Daphne Sadler: Sadler is a 5-foot-7 Defensive Specialist/Libero from Las Vegas, Nevada. Here she attends Palo Verde High School where she was a three-year varsity player for the Panthers.

Sadler played her club volleyball for the Vegas United Volleyball club where she served as a captain for the 17 Navy team in 2019 as well as the 18 Navy team in 2020.
"Daphne has experience playing the outside and ds/libero positions and brings great energy and enthusiasm into our program" states Wolter. "She is fast on her feet and has an excellent touch on the ball. Daphne came to camp and absolutely won over our staff. She fits our culture, perfectly."

Off the court Zydlo flourished as well finishing in the top 10% of her class, being named to the KVCA All-Academic team, and was a member of the National Honor Society.
