DAHLONEGA, Ga. – The 43rd-rated UWF women's golf team posted a solid 54-hole score with a seventh-place finish at the LeeAnn Noble Memorial at the Achasta Golf Club this week.
 
After a stellar second round 5-over-par in Monday's second round, the Argonauts dropped one spot on Tuesday with a 304 to end the tournament with a 903 total. UWF finished behind six top-21 teams and ahead of five teams rated above the Blue and Green. 
 
Kate Kenthack posted a top-10 finish with a 2-over-par 74-70-74=218 for a tie for ninth to lead the UWF contingent. She made 33 pars and 11 birdies over her three rounds.
 
Solange Gomez tied for 21st with a 74-75-74=223 total that featured eight birdies on her three scorecards.
 
Millie Thompson struggled to find consistency on Tuesday, finishing with a 79 after a pair of 75s on Monday. She tied for 40th at 229.
 
Alia Scotka and Alegria Lopez both shot a 78 to close out the tourney. Scotka tied for 63rd at 235 and Lopez was three shots back at 238 in 70th position.
 
As a team, the Argos ranked fifth in the 16-team field with 39 birdies and played the par 3s at 13-over-par, good for second in the event.
 
UWF will close out the fall portion of its 2022-23 season with the Flagler Slam, October 24-25 at Marsh Creek Country Club in St. Augustine, Fla.
