COMPLETE RESULTS

CLEVELAND, Tenn. - The UWF women's golf team opened the 2022-23 season with a ninth-place finish in the City With Spirit Classic at Cleveland Country Club.

UWF improved each round to record a 317-315-310=942 total. The Argonauts registered 20 birdies and 145 pars in the event, with all six athletes shoot at least one round in the 70s.

Solange Gomez led the team with a 29th-place finish, posting a 78-76-81=235 total, one shot ahead of transfer Kate Kenthack, who tied for 33rd at 84-77-75=236.

Alia Scotka (82-81-76) and Alegria Lopez (80-81-78) tied for 43rd with a 239 total. Millie Thompson tied for 50th with a 242 tally.

Kenzie Heba was competing as an individual and tied for 54th at 81-84-78=243.

The Argonauts will return to play next week with the Golfweek Fall Invitational, Monday and Tuesday at the Raven Golf Club in Destin, Fla.
