COMPLETE AVCA PRESEASON TOP 25 POLL

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The UWF women's volleyball team is set to tip off the 2023 season with a No. 12 ranking nationally after the release of the AFCA Division II Preseason Poll on Tuesday. 

The Argonauts were the only Gulf South Conference squad to make an appearance in the poll. However, UWF is joined in the Top 25 by three other members of the NCAA South Regional. Tampa and Barry came in at No. 5 and 6, respectively, and Lynn garnered enough votes to land at No. 25. Eckerd and Nova Southeastern received votes to land at Nos. 41 and 45. 

UWF finished 2022 with another excellent record, 28-6 overall and 15-1 in conference play. The Argos swept the GSC regular-season and tournament titles for the fifth consecutive full season to earn a 16th straight berth in the NCAA Tournament. 

The Blue and Green begin the slate with a match against Wheeling for the third straight year as part of a 2023 Springhill Suites Invitational lineup that also includes contests against receiving votes Oklahoma Baptist and No. 11 Southwest Minnesota State.
