BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Gulf South Conference announced its seventh weekly award winners of the 2024-25 volleyball season on Tuesday based on performances from October 14-20. For her play this past weekend in a pair of 3-1 GSC wins at Lee and Trevecca,
Emily Breazeale took home the first GSC Player of the Week award of her career as an Argo.

Breazeale led the team in kills in both matches with 15 kills on .294 hitting against the Flames and 18 on .417 against the Trojans. It was the second and third consecutive contests she has led the team in kills out of six times this season she has done so. The sophomore outside hitter from Hoover, Ala., totaled 33 kills on a .356 hitting percentage with 20 digs, an assist and five blocks for 35.5 total points. Her highest totals were 18 kills, three blocks, the assist and 19.5 points against Trevecca and 13 digs against Lee.

With the wins, the Argos are 15-5 with a 10-0 GSC mark and winning streak, keeping them in first place and two games clear of second-place Alabama Huntsville. UWF is back in action this weekend with another pair of contests in Tennessee, taking on Christian Brothers on Friday at 6 pm and Union on Saturday at 1 pm.  Â
