- Why do you give to UWF Athletics?
Our journey with UWF Athletics began as a way to support a friend who directly engages with UWF athletes and programs. We wanted to invest in the athletes and activities while contributing to the vibrant spirit of the university.
- Why do you continue to give annually?
We continue our annual support because of the personal connections we've built. We tend to focus our giving on the sports where we've had the opportunity to get to know the student-athletes personally. Seeing the direct impact of our support on their collegiate experience makes it a very rewarding tradition. While a university student, Ellie worked phones to solicit donations for her school. That experience helps us appreciate the time and effort by students to reach out to alumni and donors for support.
- What would you say is the best thing about supporting UWF Athletics?
The most fulfilling part is witnessing the incredible effort these individuals put in as students. It is a privilege to recognize their hard work and dedication both on and off the field, knowing that our support helps them succeed throughout their academic and athletic careers. Our student athletes deserve the opportunity to perform at their best and that means having the equipment and resources to travel and train safely and effectively.
- What makes you passionate about UWF Athletics?
Our passion comes from the students themselves. Getting to know them beyond their jerseys—learning their stories and watching their growth over four years—makes us feel like a true part of the Argo family.
Beyond the games and competitions, our proudest moments are always academic milestones. There is nothing better than seeing a student-athlete excel in their sport and then successfully transition into their professional lives as UWF alumni.
