UWF Athletics Hall of Fame Questionnaire: Erin Vierling
1. What was your most memorable moment in UWF athletics?
My most memorable moment was in my senior year and my team got to play in the NCAA Division II women’s basketball tournament! It was a huge accomplishment and we had worked hard all season and playing great team basketball!
2. Being a former student-athlete, how has it helped you in your life after college?
Being a student-athlete you have to be able to be a team player, motivate and learn how to juggle multiple things at once; school and competing at a high level. Being a teacher I am a team player every day with my coworkers. I motivate my students and help coach them through times when they are struggling with a new skill. Being a teacher is a great balancing act and I lean on my college experiences to help get me through day to day!
3. Are you still involved with your sport? If so, in what capacity?
Yes, I still play basketball in a men’s league every Monday night.
