The UWF women’s soccer program doesn’t lose many games, and they especially didn’t during the 2012 and 2013 seasons with Shelby Bush on the field. The Argos went 42-2-3 in those years for the second-best 2-year stretch in UWF history.

Bush was a 2-time All-America, earned four All-Region awards from the NSCAA and D2CCA, and a pair of First Team All-Gulf South Conference choices while wearing the blue and green. She finished her career with 22 goals and 10 assists while starting all 47 games at midfield.

Head coach Joe Bartlinski has said she was very gifted when it comes to scoring but she was also a grinder. The type of player that knows how to get in the box and score those goals that you have to have, the rebound goals.

That knack for scoring goals led her to score five postseason goals in her career which earned her a spot on the GSC All-Tournament Team both seasons as the Argonauts never lost a GSC game in her career.

Like many of her teammates, she was also voted on to the 2010s GSC All-Decade First Team and now joins the UWF Athletics Hall of Fame with so many of those Argos.
