Tania Simpson Ives competed on the UWF Women’s Cross Country team from 1996-1998. In 1996, she ranked in the Top 10 five times and posted third place in the NCAA Division II Southeastern Region Championship. In 1997, Simpson placed in the Top 3 majority of her season and by 1998, she had qualified for the First Team All-GSC for the third year in a row, contributing to the outstanding reputation of the Cross Country program and placing the women’s team on the map.
