UWF ATHLETICS HALL OF FAME - CLASS OF 2011-12

Men’s golfer Stuart Manley helped lead the Argonauts to their first ever national 10338championship in 2001 as a four year student-athlete under head coach Steve Fell.

A three time All-American from 1999-2001, Manley was also named the Gulf South Conference Player of the Year during his senior year of competition. Manley earned All-GSC honors all four years he was at the University of West Florida, including three first team selections to go along with an All-Decade Team honorable mention award.

Internationally, Manley represented Great Britain and Ireland at the 2002 Palmer Cup and was the 2003 Welsh Amateur Champion. In 2003, he led Great Britain and Ireland to victory over the United States during the 2003 Walker Cup.

Manley continues to make his rounds on the European Tour, where he has competed since the 2004 season.

- What was your most memorable moment in UWF athletics?
Winning the NCAA national championship and getting a degree from the university.

- Being a former student-athlete, how has it helped you in your life after college?
The golf program at UWF has helped my golf game immensely.  The improvements I made during my four years under Coach Fell enabled and prepared me for professional golf, and life in general.

- Are you still involved with your sport?  If so, in what capacity?
Yes, I‘m currently a full time  touring professional plying my trade on the European and Challenge Tour circuit.

- What is your current occupation?
Golf Professional

Yes, I am married to Nichola.
