KALEY MORRIS
Women's Soccer (2006-10)
Gulf Breeze, Fla.

Kaley Morris came to UWF as an accomplished player with impressive prep and club credentials. UWF coach Joe Bartlinski remembers her as someone who would never be outworked, whether on the field, in the classroom or in the weight room.

It didn't take her long to break into the starting lineup and make her mark on defense, helping the Argonauts post a 76-8-5 overall record. The 76 victories are the most in a 4-year period in program history.

Along with goalkeeper Courtney Jones, the duo led a back line that registered 48 shutouts in 89 contests while advancing to the NCAA Tournament all four years with the first two NCAA Championships appearances in UWF history.

"I will never forget making it to the NCAA Final Four Tournament my junior and senior years," she said. "It was an honor to represent our University and make history while also sharing that experience with a very special team.

"A game that stands out in my mind more specifically was our game against Carson-Newman my senior year. We were down 1-0 and ended up winning 2-1. Our team fought very hard to win that game coming from behind. We advanced to the 2009 NCAA Final Four tournament because of that win."

Morris was regularly tasked with marking the opposition's top offensive play maker and more often than not came away with the upper hand.

UWF won three GSC championships, including the 2009 tournament when she was named the Most Outstanding Player. Morris was also a 2-time NCAA Championship All-Tournament team selection and earned All-America honors following her senior season.

She was twice named to the GSC All-Academic Team for women's soccer and also was an NSCAA All-America Scholar recipient.

Morris continued to play soccer 3-4 days per week when she lived in Houston, Texas and in March of 2018 she relocated back home to Northwest Florida where she is a Physician Assistant.
