Pensacola native Nolan Intermoia chose to stay home when it came time to pursue a soccer career after high school. He parlayed a standout prep career at Pine Forest High School into a spot at UWF.  But his career got off to an inauspicious start as he tore his ACL as a freshman and Hurricane Ivan put an end to the 2004 season after just three games.

Over the next four years, the Argonauts posted a 62-12-7 record, tallying the most wins for the program over a four-year span at the time as Intermoia started 77 times. UWF won the 2006 GSC Championship before falling in the National Semifinals. The Argonauts won another conference crown in 2007.

In 2008 he was an All-America and All-Region selection as a senior by both Daktronics and the NSCAA. The team captain as chosen by his teammates, he served a vital role that season after the passing of teammate and co-captain Mason Hupp in May. The sixth-year senior was a First Team All-GSC pick and came up huge with the game-winning goal as the Argos upset Montevallo in the GSC Championship for their third-consecutive title.

He ended his career as a 2008-09 GSC Top Ten Honoree and later grabbed a spot on the First Team All-GSC All-Time Team. A Criminal Justice major with a solid 3.34 grade point average, Intermoia was also the men's soccer Student Athletic Advisory Council (SAAC) representative every year he was on campus.

He is married to his wife Christie, and is the regional sales manager for Hattori Hanzo Shears and a staff coach for the Gulf Coast Texans, serving as the head coach for the U19 Girls team.

IN HIS OWN WORDS
"We lost a teammate over the summer of 2008. We ended up winning the GSC as the 3 seed in what many people said would be a rebuilding year. We used that as motivation and ended up 20th in the country at the end of the year.

"Not just in athletics but with college in general – you learn to live with people of every race, ethnicity and gender. It allows you to open your heart to everyone and be kind.
