Courtney Jones achieved some of the highest honors a student-athlete could during her time at UWF. A four-year starter in goal for head coach Joe Bartlinski, she compiled a 75-8-4 career record and set almost every goalkeeper record in program history.

She owns records for career and single-season victories, career and single-season goals against average and career and single-season shutouts She had 48 shutouts in her 88 games played, while collecting three All-GSC selections.

She helped lead the Argos to three GSC titles, four NCAA Tournament appearances and NCAA finals in 2008 and the national semifinals in 2009.

Jones picked up three First Team All South Region awards, was a three-time All-American and a two-time NSCAA South Region Second Team choice.

She was honored for her success in the classroom with a CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team selection as a senior and NSCAA Second Team Scholar All-America nod a year prior. But the ultimate honor came after earning her degree when she was named the GSC Commissioner's Trophy winner in 2009-10.

She is currently a travel nurse, which involves moving to a city of her choice every few months or so and working at a local hospital. She is also working toward obtaining her doctorate.

IN HER OWN WORDS
Most memorable moment: "Honestly, there are far too many to recount. My four years spent in UWF athletics was a conglomeration of some of the most incredible moments I have ever experienced. Coach Bartlinski never ceased to believe in us and pushed us to be even better, both on and off the field. His passion fueled our team and his humor kept us humble. The teammates I had along the way were some of the most amazing people I have ever met; they were (and still are) all considered family to me. I wouldn't trade a single moment in those four years for anything; they are among my most cherished memories.

"Being a student-athlete helped me know how to be a part of a team outside of the athletic realm. How to understand people from different walks of life in both professional and personal aspects. How to allocate my time and energy appropriately to all facets of my life.

"I can't even put into words how utterly grateful I am!! Soccer had been my undying passion ever since I was a little girl. It has taken me to different cities and countries, allowed me to earn two college degrees, pushed me past my physical & mental limits, and, most importantly, introduced me to some of the most amazing people I have ever had the privilege of knowing. To me, soccer isn't just a sport, it has been one of the most influential contributions to the formation of who I am today. It is a true honor to be inducted into the Hall of Fame of the college that I love! You know, UDUBB!!"
