When it comes to net play, no one has done it better than Lindsay Homme. From 2009 to 2013, the Willowbrook, Illinois standout patrolled the front row of Melissa Wolter’s middle blocker volleyball machine.
 
She finished her career with a school-record 354 blocks and third all-time with 1,291 kills on her way to becoming a 2-time AVCA All-American, a 3-time All-Region Performer and the 3-time First Team All-Gulf South Conference athlete.
 
Homme was twice named the GSC Player of the Year, becoming the only Argo to achieve that honor.
 
But it was in the 2013 title match that she did something she will forever remember. Trailing 2-0 to West Georgia in the UWF Field House, she saw her team come together as a cohesive unit and storm back to claim the championship. Homme finished with 23 kills on just two errors that day to lead the Blue and Green to their GSC record sixth-consecutive tourney title and the Most Outstanding Player award.
 
The honors didn’t stop there as she was named to the GSC All-Decade Team for the 2010s.
 
She joins a hall of fame group of three volleyball student-athletes, becoming the fourth in program history.
 
 
I vividly recall my senior year when we faced a challenging situation during the conference championship against West Georgia. Down 0-2 and the odds seemingly against us, it was a pivotal moment for our team. However, something incredible happened during the third set. We came together as a cohesive unit, and from that point on, our performance was nothing short of remarkable. We played with unwavering determination, and it was as if a switch had been flipped.  We were able to secure our status as the GSC conference champions for yet another season. It was a memory that showcased the power of teamwork, resilience, and the ability to rise to the occasion when the stakes were high.
